After gaining work experience in Southwestern USA, Sweden and Belgium, Angela moved to Cleveland in fall 2016. Thanks to a connection from Cleveland Leadership Center’s Rachel Ciomcia, Angela and Pam met for coffee shortly after her move. They’ve been working together ever since.
In Europe, Angela was a freelance journalist for EU and American publications. She earned a global journalism master's degree from Sweden’s Örebro University, where she was named the international student of the year.
Angela has worked as a freelance writer and photographer for various publications, including Flanders Today (Belgium), Stars & Stripes, European Journalism Centre, TulsaPeople, Tulsa World, Oklahoma Gazette, the Tulsa Voice and Cleveland Magazine.
While living in Tulsa, Okla., Angela was a communications and logistics coordinator for the Tulsa Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, which brings evidence-based sex education to area youth in a state with the 2nd highest teen birth rate in the United States. Angela also wrote for the Community Service Council - Tulsa about social policy issues.
At the start of her career, she was a section editor at The Dallas Morning News for four years.
Angela’s journalism bachelor’s degree is from The University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner). You’re welcome for Baker Mayfield, Cleveland.
